SchemaAgent 2005 review
Altova SchemaAgent 2005 is the compelling new paradigm for modeling and managing advanced schemas in enterprise workgroups. It lets developers view any collection of schemas as a pool of resources and construct complex schemas from smaller, simpler ones. This promotes the design of componentized schemas, which can be easily reused and interconnected to reduce new schema development times. SchemaAgent uses a client/server architecture to access files stored in any standard repository within your workgroup. With SchemaAgent you can automatically create, update, or delete references between schemas through the graphical drag-and-drop interface. Includes, imports, and redefines are indicated by color-coded connecting lines between schema components in the SchemaAgent design pane. All changes to a given schema are saved back to the repository and are automatically propagated to all other schemas in the workspace that reference it. SchemaAgent is accessible via its own client-side user interface or through the schema design view of Altova XMLSpy 2005. SchemaAgent 2005 features an explorer pane and a design pane. The explorer pane displays the schemas available in the selected server path, and you can manipulate them there as required. The design pane displays a visual representation of selected schemas and the relationships between them. In addition to modifying insert, import, and redefine paths, you can use SchemaAgent to align and sort schemas. You can also save graphical schema representations for documentation purposes. Let Altova SchemaAgent 2005 help you locate, manage and reuse your schema assets.
